Redfin & Plumtree

Glenn co-founded Plumtree Software, which had a 2002 IPO. He ran Redfin from its earliest days in an apartment through a 2017 IPO and its 2025 sale to Rocket. One inspiration for Sojourn was his experience at Redfin. Almost every year after its IPO, Redfin had to re-consider whether to keep employing its own agents, because of their rising healthcare costs. The choices were all terrible: to make every agent a contractor rather than an employee, to ask employees to pay more for their care, or to cover less care. Glenn co-founded Sojourn believing there had to be a better way.

Dr. Connie Chen

Lyra & Vida

Connie has spent her career on one problem: how employers can give their employees better care at lower cost. She co-founded Vida Health in 2014 and joined Lyra Health in 2018, serving first as chief medical officer and then as chief operating officer as the company grew to a $5.8-billion valuation. She earned her medical degree at the University of California, San Francisco, and completed her internal-medicine residency at Stanford. As a primary-care doctor, Connie saw that her patients' health and financial wellbeing rose and fell together, and that a system taped together from broken parts couldn't serve either. She co-founded Sojourn to build the care model she'd want for her own family, designed around the member and the employer who pays for it, not the limits of today's system.
